Concept
Chef — Ilya Kolesnik.
The third Duo Band restaurant after Duo Gastrobar and Tartarbar. It opened in 2017 on Rubinstein Street, St Petersburg’s main dining destination.
The menu offers contemporary interpretations of Japanese, Chinese and Korean traditions, complemented by Latin American and Middle Eastern influences. Ilya travels extensively across Asia and brings back not clichés, but first-hand experience of working with local ingredients and techniques.
The interior is minimalist and monochrome, featuring calligraphy by Pokras Lampas. An open kitchen sits at the centre of the dining room and naturally draws the guests’ attention.
